Mr. Justin Kuczmarski, MBA, CPA, CVA, ABV is the President of NAV Valuation & Advisory LLC (“NAV”).
Before founding NAV, Mr. Kuczmarski served as an NYC Practice Leader in Financial Advisory Services for a top 10 accounting and advisory firm. He also has senior M&A investment banking experience as a Valuation Practice Leader for a leading M&A boutique bank.
He holds four leading valuation credentials/licenses (CVA, ABV, CEIV, CDBV), two credentials/licenses in public and forensic accounting (CPA and CFF), and one in bankruptcy and restructuring advisory (CIRA).
In 2016, Mr. Kuczmarski was a recipient of the NACVA 40 Under 40 from the nation's leading valuation association, the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts (NACVA).
In 2011, he was a Finalist for Crain's New York 40 Under 40.
Mr. Kuczmarski possesses a unique background combining senior experience in both M&A investment banking and financial advisory services. Mr. Kuczmarski has been involved in over 150 transactions during his 22-year career from either an M&A investment banking or financial advisory perspective.

He is frequently approached to serve as a litigation expert consultant or litigation expert witness, and he has been retained in several billion-dollar commercial cases throughout his career. Mr. Kuczmarski has been qualified as an expert witness in the New York State Supreme Court, the Eastern District of New York, and the American Arbitration Association. He is also qualified as both a Court Appointed Appraiser and Court Appointed Forensic Accountant under Part 36 of the Chief Judge's New York State Rules.
Mr. Kuczmarski is the sole author of the 300-page guidebook entitled The Executive’s Guide to Business Valuation: Essentials for Advisors and Business Owners.
Mr. Kuczmarski received a B.A. in Politics from Princeton University.
He also received a dual MBA in both Finance and Professional Accountancy from Fordham University's Gabelli Graduate School of Business. He attended on an academic fellowship in both departments.
Mr. Kuczmarski earned a Certificate in Mergers & Acquisitions from Columbia Business School of Columbia University.
Mr. Kuczmarski is a frequent TV commentator on both M&A transactions and technology. He has appeared on multiple stations such as Fox Business Network, TD Ameritrade Network, Yahoo! Finance, i24, China Central TV (CCTV), and China Global Television Network (CGTN), covering both topics in recent years.
Notable interviews have covered the latest trends in the valuation of apps, Amazon and Whole Foods' 2017 merger, T-Mobile and Sprint's proposed 2017 merger, Alphabet's earnings, and facial recognition software M&A.

Mr. Kuczmarski has been involved in over 150 transactions during his 22-year career from either an M&A investment banking or financial advisory perspective. He has deep experience in buy-side M&A, sell-side M&A, and valuation opinions for transactions.
Mr. Kuczmarski is an expert in the valuation of equity, debt, derivatives and complex assets, intangibles, real estate, and structured finance.
He specializes in the following industries: asset management, business services, healthcare, real estate, and technology. Notable clients include some of the nation’s leading alternative investment funds, law firms, and private businesses.
In 2013-14, Mr. Kuczmarski led the due diligence and initial public market valuation/pricing of two high-profile technology IPOs. He has also successfully defended his analysis before the IRS in multiple tax compliance appraisals.
Mr. Kuczmarski specializes in the complete gamut of cases across litigation support. He is a Registered Mediator for the Eastern District of New York. He is also a New York State expert fiduciary appraiser and expert accountant for 8 counties.
Mr. Kuczmarski has been qualified as an expert witness in the New York State Supreme Court, the Eastern District of New York, and the American Arbitration Association. He is also qualified as both a Court Appointed Appraiser and Court Appointed Forensic Accountant under Part 36 of the Chief Judge's New York State Rules.
Mr. Kuczmarski has defended his valuation, and forensic accounting reports in multiple litigation support expert opinions and tax compliance assignments. He has been involved in several high-profile securities litigation assignments. The litigation case record is available upon request.
In 2010-2012, Mr. Kuczmarski was one of four plaintiff financial experts in the high-profile class action case against a leading mortgage firm. The case was settled successfully. He is also frequently engaged as a mediation/litigation expert for damages claims of matrimonial actions, medical damages, and professional liability cases. Mr. Kuczmarski has applied his valuation expertise in the quantification of property lost profits and business interruption claims.
Mr. Kuczmarski is the sole author of the 300-page guidebook entitled The Executive’s Guide to Business Valuation: Essentials for Advisors and Business Owners.
The 300-page E-book and printed edition are published by the International Association of CPAs, Attorneys, and Management (IACAM). The E-book is accredited for 12 continuing professional education (CPE) and continuing legal education (CLE) credits in over 30 states.
